Let’s put the past behind us and move ahead,
Making things happen, working together instead.
Keeping in mind that we all made mistakes,
Tripping over ourselves, looking for breaks.
Let us start today as if life were new,
Judging people only on what we hear them say and do.
No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes,
There are more good people than there are fakes.
Judge each person as an individual, keeping in mind,
Someone exactly like you, you will never find.
If you could, you won’t want it that way,
For you would be bored with them in less than a day.
Accept people with their faults, for you have some too.
Don’t try to change them, don’t let them change you.
You can only be you, and I only me.
Let’s spend our time together with the best we can be.
If we can do this and join as a team together,
We can make many things happen,
no matter how stormy the weather.
In the end what a team can accomplish,
Is everyone’s dream, everyone’s wish.
